About Shenzhen Airlines

Shenzhen Airlines is a major Chinese carrier headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta. Founded in 1992, the airline grew alongside the meteoric rise of Shenzhen itself β€” transforming from a regional operator into one of China's leading full-service airlines.

A member of the Star Alliance since 2012, Shenzhen Airlines connects passengers to an extensive domestic network spanning more than 100 Chinese cities, as well as a growing portfolio of international and regional routes across Asia. The airline operates primarily from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) and also maintains operations at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN).

Shenzhen Airlines is a subsidiary of Air China, China's flag carrier, which holds a controlling stake in the company. This relationship gives Shenzhen Airlines access to Air China's global partnerships, codeshare agreements, and the broader Star Alliance network β€” enabling seamless connectivity for travellers across the globe.

The airline's fleet is composed entirely of narrow-body Airbus A320-family and Boeing 737 aircraft, reflecting its focus on high-frequency, point-to-point domestic and short- to medium-haul regional services. Shenzhen Airlines is committed to modernising its fleet with next-generation A320neo and A321neo aircraft, improving fuel efficiency and reducing its environmental footprint.

With a reputation for reliable service, competitive fares, and a convenient hub in one of China's most dynamic economic centres, Shenzhen Airlines continues to play a pivotal role in connecting businesses, families, and travellers across China and beyond.
