About China Airlines

China Airlines (IATA: CI) is Taiwan's flag carrier and largest airline, headquartered at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Dayuan, Taoyuan. Founded on 16 December 1959, the airline has grown from a small regional operator into one of Asia-Pacific's most respected international carriers, connecting Taiwan to more than 100 destinations across Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and Africa.

As a member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance since 2011, China Airlines offers passengers seamless connections to an extensive worldwide network, reciprocal frequent-flyer benefits, and coordinated lounge access across partner carriers. Its Dynasty Flyer programme rewards loyal travellers with miles redeemable for flights, upgrades, and partner services.

The airline is widely recognised for its commitment to safety, service excellence, and innovation. Its long-haul cabins feature lie-flat business-class seats, premium economy, and a modern economy product. Signature Taiwanese hospitality and cuisine infuse every flight, with award-winning in-flight meals curated by renowned chefs and reflecting the island's rich culinary heritage.

China Airlines operates a modern and diversified fleet spanning narrow-body, wide-body, and freighter aircraft. The carrier's cargo division, China Airlines Cargo, is one of the world's leading air-freight operators and a cornerstone of global supply chains, particularly in the high-tech and semiconductor sectors that define Taiwan's economy.

The airline has been the recipient of numerous industry accolades, including recognition from Skytrax and the Air Transport World awards. Ongoing fleet renewal, digital transformation, and a stated commitment to reducing its carbon footprint through sustainable aviation fuels and operational efficiencies underline China Airlines' ambition to lead Taiwanese aviation into a greener, more connected future.
