About Air Peace Limited

Air Peace is Nigeria's largest airline and one of the fastest-growing carriers in Africa. Founded in 2013 by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Allen Onyema, the airline commenced operations in 2014 with a mission to connect Nigeria's cities safely, affordably, and reliably β€” and to use aviation as a force for peace and national unity.

Based at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Air Peace has grown rapidly from a domestic Nigerian carrier into a regional and intercontinental airline. Its network spans dozens of destinations across Nigeria, as well as international routes to countries including Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Cameroon, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Israel, India, Dubai, and China.

The airline made history in March 2019 when it evacuated stranded Nigerians from South Africa during a wave of xenophobic attacks β€” free of charge β€” earning it widespread national acclaim and cementing its reputation as an airline with a social conscience.

In 2023 Air Peace launched its landmark route between Lagos and London Gatwick, becoming the first Nigerian carrier in over a decade to operate a direct scheduled service between Nigeria and the United Kingdom. This milestone marked a new chapter in the airline's ambition to connect Africa with the rest of the world.

Air Peace operates a mixed fleet of narrow-body and wide-body jets, including Boeing 737 and 777 family aircraft and Embraer regional jets, serving both high-frequency domestic trunk routes and long-haul intercontinental services. The airline has placed orders for modern Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to support its continued expansion.

Committed to the ideals of peace, unity, and progress, Air Peace continues to invest in people, technology, and infrastructure to raise the bar for African aviation and to give Nigerian travellers a world-class experience from their home soil.
