About Africa World Airlines

Africa World Airlines (AWA) is a Ghanaian regional carrier headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Founded in 2010 and launching commercial operations in 2012, AWA was established with a clear mission: to make air travel within Ghana and across West Africa safe, reliable, and accessible. The airline quickly grew to become one of Ghana's leading domestic carriers, operating scheduled passenger services between Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, and key regional destinations.

AWA is distinguished by its commitment to punctuality, passenger comfort, and operational safety. The airline operates a modern fleet of Embraer regional jets, chosen for their fuel efficiency and suitability for West African routes. With a customer-first philosophy, Africa World Airlines has earned a strong reputation among business and leisure travellers alike, offering competitive fares without compromising on service quality.

As Ghana's aviation sector continues to grow, Africa World Airlines remains at the forefront β€” investing in its fleet, expanding its route network, and partnering with international carriers to provide seamless connectivity for its passengers across the continent and beyond.
